Comment: We noticed that the basement was flooded as of this morning- June 7th. Had not been flooded prior, even though we have had an excessive amount of rain We have a sump pump in the laundry room that is encased in a concrete trough. It is full to the brim and the water in the sump pump is blue from the water draining from the washing machine. We tried bucketing out a lot of the water but it would just keep filling up Also, there is water all over the basement floor that is not blue - it is clear. A good half of the basement is flooded. At this point we don't think it's coming from the sump pump not working because of the difference in color. It is flooded in the workshop, the laundry room, part of the storage room and a good part of the family room downstairs. The house relies on well water and I don't know if it's a possibility that the underground well has become overfilled and is possibly oversaturating the house

Comment: We had flooding in our basement last week in a finished bedroom. We've already ripped out all the carpet and padding. There was visible mold on the carpet right against the wall, which leads us to believe there have been issues for many weeks. But that area was behind the bed and it wasn't until last week that it was suddenly wet across the entire floor. The water all seems to becoming in at the "seam" where the walls meet the floor along the east side of the house. There doesn't appear to be any wetness or damage in the walls. We don't know if it's hydrostatic pressure and coming from below or coming down from the surface (about 6' up). But after we ripped up the carpet and repositioned a downspout that we discovered was dumping right above, it has stayed dry--and we had two solid days of rain. So it may be that it's coming from above. We need someone to diagnosis the problem/cause and provide an estimate for repair. This may also involve mold remediation?? THANK YOU!

Comment: Like the super pump system primarily because the cover system is better than what I have and I want to finish the room off

Comment: Basement flooded. Service Masters are drying it out and tearing up carpet. Also cutting two additional access holes for air flow. They suggested I install a vapor barrier. I want an estimate. I'd like to see if the barrier can be installed while they have the access holes open.

Comment: I am trying to sell my home. It has a bare dirt floor... With the recent rain there has been a lot more moisture down there than normal and there is a musty smell that comes up through the vents.
