Wet basements are not fun! Flooded basements are a homeowner’s nightmare. If you are suffering from constant worry about the health and safety of your basement, it’s time for a change. If you’ve tried DIY efforts to fix pooling water, cracks in your foundation, leaky basement windows, or high humidity, it’s time to find an experienced, professional waterproofer you can trust. A wet basement wastes valuable living space, damages building materials and stored possessions, pollutes the indoor air, risks the health of those living in the home, and puts your investment in your home at risk. That adds up to considerable risk.
By choosing a basement waterproofer in the Basement Systems network, you’re getting a local company dedicated to the best waterproofing practices. Each contractor listed here is a trained professional in the diagnosis of sub-grade moisture problems as well as the design and installation of proper drainage, moisture and humidity control, and basement materials. Flooded basement: Delaware has an annual precipitation that averages about 55 inches statewide. That along with low land near the coast can lead to serious flooding issues. When flooding hits your area, your basement is most likely to be the prime target for water damage.
Other wet basement signs: There are many potential sources for pooling water, damp basement walls or flooring, and high humidity. These include: rusty basement windows, poor grading around the foundation, leaks through cracks in the foundation, saturated soils, simple plumbing failures, and poorly functioning drainage or sump pump systems. A basement already musty and damp is ill-prepared for the next bad rainstorm! Basement waterproofing can address the underlying issues, prevent future water damage and improve the indoor air quality.
Waterproof your basement today! The waterproofing experts in the Basement Systems network have helped homeowners across the state of Delaware for decades. Comment: I have a below grade basement entrance. The drain at the bottom of the external entrance is useless. As such, I get water intrusion intot he basement. Water travels over the door threshold into the basement. Am looking to run drain from outside into a sump. Either a new sump pit and pump or run drain line to existing basement sump unless you have other ideas on how to solve.
