As winter became extra cold on Delmarva, this homeowner noticed cold floors in their home. To keep the home warm, he knew he needed to have better insulation in the crawl space. DryZone encapsulated the crawl space and added a two-inch thick foam board to block out cold air.
When one of out crews arrived to this location it had water pooling in areas and those without the pools where incredibly muddy. This situation was quickly fixed when the triple safe was installed. It's large amount of pumping power quickly drained the water from the basement making it nice and dry allowing for CleanSpace to be put down.
This crawlspace had previously had a plastic liner installed in it which was ineffective as it had previously been torn and had come up in some places. CleanSpace won't have this issue as it is sealed tightly to the ground to prevent it from coming up and is a much thicker material to prevent it from being torn.
This homeowner had recently moved to Deleware and had heard of the effects of an unencapsulated Crawlspace so they called the experts here at DryZone to get their encapsolated. The first thing we did in this Crawlspace was to block the vents to prevent airflow from the outside getting and then CleanSpace was installed which will act as both insulator and encapsulation.
