I recently put flooring in my basement and covered some old vents that the original owner built into the basement floor. Surprisingly the ventilation in the floor rusted out and was not used. After the heavy rain yesterday i received minor water accumulation from the same spot, not as bad as the first time, but that could just be from the cold weather slowing down the leaking? I thought the leaking was coming from the old vents the first time so i filled the vents with concrete and it seemed to work since no leaking occurred soon after rain. Of course you may have the experience to diagnose this issue. Thank you..

It appears to me that the leak i have in my basement is coming from one source, a cover that has a drain pipe attached to it. i have disconnected th pipe and attached a longer one above the ground and after a night of rain I still have water.
