Wood is one of the rarest foundation types as well as one of the trickiest to deal with. 

When a wood wall is bowing it requires not only a brace but also horizontal supports on the top and bottom of the wall.

This homeowner wanted to keep his basement dry all year round, and since he had previously used our services, he decided to give us a call. 

We sent Service Technician Michael Holtzbauer to inspect the water problem in the basement of this homeowner. Michael found that the homeowner had not waterproofed any of the corners that commonly leaked water, and that the downspouts were pointed directly towards the basement. Michael solved this by installing a CleanSpace Basement Wall Vapor Barrier to the interior corners of the basement, burying the downspouts and directing them away from the basement, and he added PolyWells to protect the window from causing any water to seep into the basement.

When the project was complete, the homeowner was thrilled that the house looks good and that the installation was quick. Check out the installed PolyWells on the home's exterior!

This family in Johnston, IA called Midwest Foundation Repair to fix their wet basement. They had water in their basement each Spring and Fall. They were ready to have a dry basement all the time. The Midwest Foundation Team came to the rescue and waterproofed their basement. The family is now starting plans to finish their basement and extend their living space, now they can have a dry basement all the time.

This customer noticed some cosmetic damage in her kitchen. The drywall tape was pulling away from the center wall in the kitchen and you could see the damage on the ceiling.

When we inspected the home, we found the problem was there was inadequate support holding up the home in the crawl space. We installed double the supports in the crawl space to fix the issue. We used our SmartJack Support system, that you can see in the photos above.
