Comment: Standing water around the foundation walls along the entire perimeter. Considerable amount of water leaking in as there are rotten building materials on the walls and carpet spike strips. Humidity levels in the basement were 71%. Discoloration in the wood/ paneling that does look like it could be mold growth. There are three downspouts on the home that are either dumping next to the foundation or do not have adequate extensions on them. Both the south wall and west wall have a horizontal crack and stair step cracking in the corners. Both walls have a horizontal crack and stair step cracking in the corner. Water flowing in from the block wall foundation which some of it was making its way to the drain but other was saturating boxes and items that were on the ground in that area. A new sump pit may be needed that can accept ground water and water in through the sides as well.

Comment: Have water leaking in at wall to floor joint. 1/2 the basement is already finished and that is the side where the water is coming in from. I would like to DIY this project

Comment: So our basement was remodeled less than 10 years ago and is very nice, there is a very nice bedroom down there and that is where the strong smell of a watery/musty smell problem is coming from. I am running a new dehumidifier down there now but not sure if that is helping. I have recently added more rock around that area to the foundation. but the biggest and most obvious concern is the dark spots and the mold like substance on one area of a lower wall
