Moisture in the basement leads to mold growth that can damage your home, make you and your family sick, and make your basement and whole house smell musty. Comment: Our east basement wall has a waterproofing surface paint applied and a waterproofing mortar skim coat. But slow seepage has led to some efflorescence that has caused the paint and mortar to bubble and come off. Also, after heavy rains we have had water get in and onto the floor, but only when our gutters were not properly cleaned. After fixing the gutters and seeing no issues for 6 months I put on another mortar skimcoat but it looks like the efflorescence is still happening and will probably cause this coat to come off as well. We are considering the possibility of putting in some kind of wall system with a drain.

Comment: We have water leaking in to a finished room in our basement after hard rains. We have regraded the outside dirt next to the foundation. We have installed new gutters. We have opened the walls to examine where the water was leaking in under the baseboards and don't see anything obvious.

Comment: Just walked into a rental today after a move out, and there is about a 1/4" of water across the basement. The 3 bedroom/1bath basement with a laundry room is minimally finished with paneling and carpet in all the bedrooms. All parts of the carpet are wet. We have had no complaints from tenants since we bought the property 8 months ago, but I have a sneaking suspicion the basement has had water seepage/issues in the past. Definite grading issues around house as well. Looking for quotes and options. Thanks.

Comment: We're having some water issues coming up from the flooring when it rains. We were told by a roofer that it's not a roof issue, but a foundation issue more than likely. We would like for someone to take a look at it to see if it is in fact a foundation issue and how to fix it. Thanks
