If there is no proper drainage system set up in your Wichita basement, it can accumulate unwanted moisture anytime it rains. Since your basement is considered below-grade space, any water that is absorbed in and around your foundation can easily make its way into your basement through cracks, gaps, and dents. Even if you don’t experience major water issues now, all it takes is for one leak or flood to cause long-lasting problems. For these reasons, your foundation and basement need to be prepared for whatever the elements throw their way. Don’t wait until the next storm to get your basement fully waterproofed and protected.

Comment: I have an enclosed room built on top of an existing basement walkout retaining wall. This wall is capped with brick and mortar which were not removed prior to placing a sill plate for the wall structure. In heavy downpours such as we had this morning, the water leaks above and below the brick cap and streams down the wall. I have made recent repairs that have not been fully effective.
