This home's foundation was causing the floor boards to sink, and the homeowner wanted it fixed. We were able to install a system of Smart Jacks along the crawl space floor in order to keep the foundation suspended back into normalcy.
This home was showing signs of foundation movement, cracked walls, sticking doors, and window gaps. You can see the owners sprayed orange foam insulation in between the door cracks, but as we all know, this was not a permanent solution. We found the root of the problem on one side of the house, so we installed helical piers on that side. The foundation will now cease to move for the foreseeable future.
The PowerBraces we installed are able to hold up this wall, which was shifting horizontally.
This crawlspace was having moisture issues, which was deteriorating the wooden beams. To stop the floor from sagging we installed SmartJack posts, which are adjustable to the height of the crawl space. Not pictured is a SmartSump sump pump, which will help keep moisture out as well.
Settling was causing the outside brick to stair-step crack. We stopped further settlement by attaching our piers to the falling footer, then drilling the piers down into stable soil. We also used hydraulics to barely tap the foundation back to where it was originally.
