I have a cellar basement, the house was built in 1910. I would like to reduce moisture.

Our basement has flooding after the snow thaws and the rain comes. This happened this past Christmas and again last night. It appears to be coming in at the perimeter base and possibly up through the sump drain, possibly because the sump can't keep up with the amount of water pouring into the pump well. Approximately 40-50 gallons, enough to wet most of the floor.

Partially above grade house in the back with below grade in front facing a hill. Water drains down hill and hits basement wall. Im assuming its hydro-static pressure. Maybe the drain failed (20 years old) Not a tremendous amount of water but enough to give the block wall bubbling (effervescence) and at the floor to wall seam it gets wet. need it fixed outside and in.

There was water on the floor in the laundry room we thought it was a pipe we called a plumber it was not a pipe. we had been on vacation and we learned that there was lots of rain so we figured it was coming from the rain and coming through the foundation somehow, Since then we tore down the insulation and learned there is a crack in the laundry room coming down the wall and the water is seeping through the the crack
