This homeowner in Monroe needed an estimate for her crawlspace concerns. Brett drove out and inspected under her home. It was holding significant amounts of moisture and causing mold and mildew. She had plastic sheeting down in some areas that was trapping the water droplets, leading to the smell. We also found mold and wood rot in the wooden joists of her home due to the moisture.
After showing the homeowner what was causing the symptoms she had noticed, and showing her our solutions, we were able to install our warrantied encapsulation system in her crawlspace. She no longer has to worry what's going on under her house, and will now be free of moisture intrusion and humidity build up!
That moist, muddy ground you see will no longer pose a problem with our CleanSpace Liner installed! Made to help prevent against moisture damage, it is the perfect match for bare crawl spaces.
Here is a look at a crawlspace that we tackled in Moss Point, Mississippi. One of our crews, led by our foreman, David, neatly laid down a durable Cleanspace Liner on the floor of the crawlspace and wrapped it up the supports of the crawlspace. This isn't just a fresh new look, it is a serious protection against moisture seepage and intrusion. Unpictured, is our crawlspace dehumidifier, also installed in this crawlspace to bring the varying humidity levels down to safe, stable percentage.
The contractor for this home in Tylertown called our office on behalf of their customer. They were struggling with a mildew problem that had grown from the crawlspace into the home as well. The dirt under the home was holding moisture creating an environment for mold growth that leads to rot. This is what causes the mildew smell to travel.
Brett DiBiase designed a waterproofing solution using our system to cure the moisture issues and keep them from returning. We treated the mold, installed our CleanSpace liner, sump pump, and dehumidifier system, and left the crawlspace better than when we found it.
Water puddling under the home is never a good sign about the health of your crawlspace. This customer called to schedule an estimate on what it would take to fix it. Rick Killingsworth performed her inspection and was able to present to her the value of our encapsulation. Not only does it prevent musty smells and mold from forming, but because it insulates the crawlspace as well, it will save $$ in the long run on energy bills.
