This homeowner in Lowell, MA had old and outdated Lally columns that started to bend and crack as the foundation continued to settle. As a result, the home was no longer receiving the support and structure that it needed. This led to sagging and uneven floors.
Upon reaching out to our Erickson Foundation Solution's team, our Design Specialist recommended replacing these declining Lally columns with our more durable and stable columns. This was a quick and easy fix, although the work that was done provides permanent support to the entire home. These new Lally columns were attached to the basement support beams and then cemented into the foundation for even more support.
With these changes made, the bouncy and saggy floors are now sturdy and solid. The homeowner now has peace of mind that his home is supported, and no longer needs to worry about worsening problems that result in significantly higher costs to fix.
