This was a call for the annual cleaning and check of the sump pump installed by Frank's a few tears ago when we had our dentire basement waterproofed and had a dehumidifier system installed. I was cautious when the representative started trying to sell battery backups, improvements and a new sump pump. The tone was that your system is old, which it is not according to national standards, and has a good possibility of failing. I am defensive when I feel someone is pressuring me to buy more. The in the cleaning process the serviceman says this pipe was not installed properly and cuts it and adds a coupler. It worked perfectly for 7 years and I fear that if the system fails now because of that he will say that he tried to get me to buy a new one. Then in cleaning the dran tubes, again he says this is too long and cuts it. I am not a plumber and have no idea if these modifications were needed or if they compromised the system. So my conclusion is that we have a problem if the system fails. Either the system was improperly installed according to the serviceman or the modifications that he made led to a malfunction. So I hope that we have no problem with the system and can avoid this second guessing. I am putting this on your private page and not a public posting as we have been very pleased and recommendated Frank's to many people but now this experience has left a sour taste in my mouth. The represeantative who was here may have made adjustments that will improve the system or lead to an eraly failure. I just do not know... so I would not badmouth you publicly but feel that you should know about the situation.
