1. Nova Scotia receives a good amount of rain which can quickly become an issue with flash floods.
2. When flooding hits your area, your basement is most likely to be the prime target for water damage.
3. If you allow it to be wet, moldy, humid, smelly, and unhealthy, you're abandoning an entire floor of space in your home. Additionally, the basement air - filled with odors, dust mite feces, humidity, and mold spores - will rise into the rest of the house, ruining the healthy environment of the home.
Basement Systems dealers are specialists in crawl space and basement environments. It's what they do every day and they are the experts! No matter how your basement is flooding, whether it's through the windows, hatchway doors, wall or floor cracks, around a pipe, or through the basement wall-floor joint, we know how to help you!

Comment: I have a basement that has flooded with each deluge that 2023 has brought. It is an unfinished basement, concrete slab floor with Granite stone and mortar foundations. Several of the walls have bee previously reinforced with approx 10in reinforced concrete. A 2" closed cell insulation spray covered with a cementious Flint Monocoat fire protection completes the wall assembly. A temporary sump pit and pump was installed but a permanent solution is needed. Humidity control with a dedicated energy efficient unit would be useful.

Comment: Our basement gets a small pool of water in one of the corners, but I can't tell if it's coming in down the wall (the wall is covered with drywall) or if it's coming up through the floor. I wanted to talk to someone about the best way of taking care of this issue before I start finishing the basement room I have planned. I do have a drain in the middle of the basement that doesn't back up, so I was wondering if the fix could be as simple as creating a channel from the leaky area directly to the drain, or if something more substantial would be needed. Thank you
