Comment: Heavy rains pushed water through the dry lock painted basement floor slab. Damaged rug and drywall, etc. in our finished basement. Looking for options on how to prevent in future before refinishing basement damage.

Comment: The basement floors are often moist, accept in the fall/winter. It smells very damp and musty and the paint on the cement walls is crumbling in many areas. There are cracks in the cement floor that the previous owner painted over with waterproof paint. One dehumidifier has been down there the past couple of years; however it does not help much. The amount of mold that builds up in the summer is very concerning.

Comment: We recently did a whole house remodel - the basement is part new and part existing (circa 1966) - both old and new are connected on the inside. There seems to be 1 wall crack in the new part of the basement and possibly a separate leak issue in the old part of the basement. Looking to get the cracks fixed. We do have a 2019 sump pump system which seems to be working but obviously isn't able to solve for this issue. Thanks!
