Water Issues in Asheville, NC Basement Leads to WaterGuard

Water, while good for the body, it is simply awful for the home.  The presence of water creates unneeded moisture in the air, which leads to mold, mildew, and an entire slew of new problems. The best course of action is to cut the problem off at its source.

Asheville, North Carolina homeowners decided to reach out to us when they feared water was coming through their floors. This was not a far off conclusion seeing that the floors were stained with the remnants of water. Another probable conclusion would be that the walls were leaking water as well. Either way, our Design Specialist had a solution for the owners.

WaterGuard was installed along the perimeter of the basement. This drain system would insure that, whatever the cause, the water would be collected and then directed out of the basement.

WaterGuard in Basement in Asheville, NC

This basement in Asheville, NC was taking on water. Our All-Dry of the Carolinas team installed at WaterGuard. A water guard is a system that intercepts the water at the perimeter of the basement and drains it unseen and safely into the SumpPump where it is then flushed from the basement. WaterGuard is different because it is designed to not sit in dirt like most draining systems do. There is a special wall flange that creates space between the floor and wall allowing wall seepage to drain through the WaterGuard while keeping it away from the dirt. Since this type of drainage is separated from dirt, the chances of it clogging are nearly impossible!

Waterguard installed in Unfinished Basement

This home in Asheville, NC was having water come into their basement through the foundation. This basement was half finished and half unfinished. The water was coming in on the unfinished side of the basement, raising up through the floor, and seeping onto the finished side. The puddling water was causing major damage to the floors. The homeowners had replaced the floors a few times already before they called us at All-Dry of the Carolinas to see if we could help.

We sent our design specialist David Listovitch out to the area to check out the situation. The homeowners had already pulled up floor that in the basement when David arrived so he could see the damage. The old floor tiles were falling apart and separating, and there was water stains all on the unfinished floor leading onto the other side. David suggested that the owners go with the WaterGuard waterproofing system to solve their issue.

WaterGuard was added around the perimeter of this basement, it intercepts the water and drains it unseen and safely into the SuperSump Pump where it is then flushed from the basement. The WaterGuard directs the water to the SuperSump Pump where it is then flushed from the basement outside to the LawnScape outlet.

New SuperSump installed in Asheville, NC

This home in Asheville, NC was getting water in their basement/garage. Water would come from under the stone foundation and down the walls and flood the basement. The homeowners had tried to fix the problem on their own by adding a sump pump, but their pump was unable to meet the demands of keeping the basement dry. They called us at All-Dry of the Carolina and we had our design specialist David Listovitch, go out to the home to give a free estimate.

When David got there he saw how the water was getting into the space and recommended to the homeowners our permanent interior waterproofing products that we offer here at All-Dry of the Carolinas. David suggested to the homeowners that they have WaterGuard, a SuperSump, CleanSpace Wall, and a dehumidifier added to the basement to help stop the water.

This home in Asheville, NC was experiencing water pooling in their basement. For help they call our team at All-Dry of the Carolinas! Our team installed a SuperSump Pump to rid the basement of its water. The SuperSump can pump up to 2,650 gallons an hour, has a WaterWatch system, Superliner with 96 holes for water flow, and an Airtight Lid. The SuperSump works in coordination with the Aprilaire, a dehumidifier which is used to collecting extra moister that is produced under your home. The SuperSump has a dehumidifier drain that connects the two machines to fully expel water from the crawlspace. From the machines, the water is pushed from the crawlspace through a drainage system to the LawnScape outlet.
