WaterGuard in Fletcher, NC basement

This home in Fletch, NC was experience water dripping down their walls into the basement. When water comes into the basement in this way it can cause several issues for the home. Mold, musty smells, wall damage, and even furniture damage were the risks for this Fletch, NC basement. To solve this issue they called in our All-Dry of the Carolinas team to install WaterGuard and a SuperSump Pump. The WaterGuard system intercepts the water at the perimeter of the basement and drains it unseen and safely into the SuperSump where it is then flushed from the basement. WaterGuard is different because it is designed to not sit in dirt like most draining systems do. There is a special wall flange that creates space between the floor and wall allowing wall seepage to drain through the WaterGuard while keeping it away from the dirt. Since this type of drainage is separated from dirt, the chances of it clogging are nearly impossible! The WaterGuard leads the water to the SuperSump where it is then flushed from the basement outside to the LawnScape outlet. All resulting in a dry basement! The SuperSump Pump is a sump pump that can pump up to 2,650 gallons an hour, has a WaterWatch system, Superliner with 96 holes for water flow, and an Airtight Lid. The SuperSump then drains all water outside through the LawnScape Outlet. Together with these products the basement will be able to remain dry and to avoid damage.

Turtl Access Well Installed in this Bryson City, NC

Your crawlspace may not be fully protected if it does not have a sealed entrance area. Take the crawlspace access well depicted here in the “before” photo as an example. It’s covered with moss and debris, which is understandable because it’s outside. However, if the well was a different material, this would not be a problem at all. Typically, access wells are rotted and leaky—features that we’ve erased with our Turtl access well.

Our well has no leaky joints. It’s made from rigid plastic, so it will never corrode or rot. Not only does it look better than the old access well, but it’s secure and lockable. But, don’t take our word for it, this Bryson City, North Carolina homeowner was quite ecstatic about the difference Turtl makes. In the “after” photo, you can see the difference for yourself.

Lake Lure, NC Basement Waterproofing

The homeowner was dealing with some pretty major issues in their basement. In these two photos, you aren't actually able to see the water soaking into the carpet, if you look for the "Photo Album" with a similar title as this Before and After, you will be able to see the wet carpet. This area was in pretty rough shape and needed to be taken care of before it got any worse. If the homeowner would have left the problem alone, there could have very easily had issues with mold or mildew.

The "before" picture shows the affected area before our crew had installed the WaterGuard drain. While the area does not look that bad, it was in pretty rough shape. You can actually see the water stains on the floor along the right-hand wall.

The "after" photo shows us a whole new story, having the WaterGuard drain installed along the wall. The WaterGuard runs back towards the camera, where there is a small closet area that houses a sump pump for the water to be pumped out of the home. This WaterGuard will help keep water from staying on the basement floor. Instead, it collects all of the water that comes through and keeps it from even getting on the ground, let alone sit there.

WaterGuard Makes a Much-Needed Appearance in Horse Shoe, NC Basement

Our WaterGuard piping system is the best in the business. There are no “ifs”, “ands”, or “buts” about it. Unlike other systems that require you to either dig up your lawn or allow large bulking pipes to roll around your property, our WaterGuard system remains unseen. But, don’t take my word for it; let’s take a look at the examples below.

See the “before” photo? When these Horse Shoe, North Carolina homeowners called into All-Dry of the Carolinas, their basement walls were leaking. Once the water dried, it would leave behind the whitish substance you see here—the efflorescence.  Both the floor and the wall suffer from this issue. Not only is it annoying, but it isn’t particularly beautiful in the least. It needed a prompt solution. The best way to deal with this is to install WaterGuard.

In the “after” photo, we’ve done just that. See that dark strip across the floor? That is where we’ve made the incision for the WaterGuard piping system. It’s a drain system that does not sit in the dirt. In fact, we install it right inside of the basement, against the wall. At that position, it catches all of the water that drains from the walls; however, it does not allow in any debris or dirt. It’s perfect. And, after the water dries, it will be practically invisible.

Basement Waterproofing in Sylva, NC

This basement had a problem with several parts of its walls being very damp. This could definitely cause problems as the water vapor coming through the walls will increase the relative humidity, which can lead to mold growth in the basement. In order to fix this problem for the homeowner, our crew installed almost 800 square feet of BrightWall paneling in this basement.

The "before" picture shows how the basement looked when our Service Design Specialist first went out to this home. The most noticeable thing about this photo is the damp areas on the right-hand wall. This was one of the main issues that the homeowner was having to deal with, which meant it was the main issue we needed to take care of for them!

The "after" photo shows a radically different area than before. In this photo, the BrightWall had already been installed and can be seen going around the entire basement wall. BrightWall panels are large, inorganic panels that help to keep water vapor from getting into the basement. Not only are these panels functional, but they also make the basement look much better and cleaner than before; it covers up the block walls and presents a much cleaner image (great for selling your home!).
