I hired Davenport Construction to lift the foundation of my house in Utah. Initially, I flew from New York to Utah expecting the work to be underway, only to find that the groundwork hadn't started. The company apologized for the lack of communication and acknowledged that my trip was unnecessary. They made amends by offering a Chipotle and Starbucks gift card and had a team come over the next day to coordinate everything. The work began the following Monday. During the excavation and concrete drilling, I left for the day. Upon returning, I found that the heating unit had not been turned off, causing dust from the construction to circulate inside the house. The walls were extremely dirty, and I spent three days cleaning, even using two HEPA filters to manage the dust. With a broken arm, this was particularly challenging. When I asked for assistance, the company paid $200 for a cleaning company of my choice to professionally wash the walls, which significantly improved the situation. Although dust continued to settle daily, it was much better. Christian and his crew (Enrique, Ronald, Rafael) were exceptional throughout the process. They provided step-by-step explanations on how they planned to lift the house, lifted it carefully and neatly, and filled back the holes after inspection. They even created a walkway on the side of the house that was nicer than before. Additionally, they cleaned up a lot of debris, including an old Jacuzzi pump and trash under the deck, without being asked. Christian also replaced a sewer line coupling with a piece he brought from home at no extra charge. The crew was kind, hardworking, and maintained excellent communication throughout the project. They were personable, smiling, and agreeable, making the entire experience pleasant. They never bothered me and stayed on task from start to finish. Overall, despite some initial hiccups and the dust issue, I am very satisfied with the work done. They demonstrated professionalism, dedication, and a genuine commitment to ensuring my satisfaction.
