Comment: My basement is only partially below grade so it only has a pony wall with framing for the rest of the wall. it is finished but I would like to renovate it to make it a more comfortable and livable space. It doesn't seem to have any major water issues but it does get very cold in the winter.

If you by any chance have time to provide an estimate by mid day Friday 12/9 let me know Thanks Joe

Comment: I have a plastic covered dirt floor in a pseudo basement. It is 24 feet long by 9'6" wide and 7'4" tall. My hot water heater is housed in here. I moved in a year ago and really had no need to go in there till one day I did. I found myself in a Russian steambath. Ever thing was 100 % saturated with water. Steam had been steadily filling the room for weeks. Now 3 months later after much drying, insulation removed and replaced including insulating 3 exterior walls. The 4th interior wall is concrete. I also put a coat of kills paint on the ceiling. I used microban on every square inch of the place as well as bleach. It still smells like mildew! I want to make this place my shop and put an attic ladder into the ceiling so I don't have to go outside to go down there. My forced air heater is in the attic which the house is three stories. I need some good advise on how to do this right, once.
