Comment: I have Efflorescence on the walls of my basement and floor leaks. The basement is shallow and the home is over a 100 years old. I do not have a sump pump and do not want one. I do not get standing water and the basement leaks on half the basement but when we get torrential rains it leaks all over. I have used watertite and drylock on the walls and floor and like you said these products do not work like they say they will.

Comment: CURRENT situation is water is pouring in our basement through the walls, due to the fast melting snow with rain. But - this is not the first time - it's just never been THIS bad. The majority of our basement is currently under water.

Comment: My question is our area the sump pumps run year round. On the wettest days/ heavy rain a submersible pump will cycle(on and off) in less than a minute. I have put in a pedestal pump which now gives a nine minute cycle. I need to put in a radon fan so I need to go back to a submersible pump. What has the best reliable switch? I do have a battery back up pump because of the amount of water coming in and the possibility of a switch malfunction. Any recommendation would help. Thank you for your time and service. Rodger

Comment: My window well is filling up with water by about a foot, resulting in water leakage in my basement through the window. I have caulked my window on the inside, but I think the root cause may have something to do with a clogged window well drain. I'm wondering what the cost might be to clear the drain.
