The next time a huge storm batters the northeast, David's house will be ready (and dry)!
Solution
When record-breaking rain storms struck the northeast in March 2010, David was amazed to see that the basement in his Essex home remained dry thanks to the Basement Systems waterproofing system he had installed back in 2008. He even personally called the Basement Systems salesman that sold him the work, Jeff Nelson, to share his disbelief and thank him.
To help keep David's basement dry all the time, our basement waterproofing experts installed 160 feet of Waterguard drainage tile along the inside perimeter of the basement. They also installed a TripleSafe sump pump that has three pumps to handle any amount of rain. When one pump fails or can't keep up, another pump kicks in to help out. The third pump is battery powered in case of a power outage, so the sump pump keeps working during even the worst storms.
We installed a SaniDry basement dehumidifier to get rid of humidity and excess moisture in the basement. The SaniDry makes the basement feel cleaner and drier by also filtering the air and removing odors. A FloodRing was also placed around the water tank to contain any future tank leakage.
Outside, our crew installed an IceGuard to prevent floods from a frozen discharge line, and a LawnScape outlet at the end of the discharge line to keep water flowing away from the house.
The next time a huge storm batters the northeast, David's house will be ready (and dry)!
