Anthony couldn't ignore his wet basement problem any longer!
Challenge
Anthony's basement typically only flooded during torrential rainstorms, so he was never too concerned about it. But after several "100-year" storms struck the northeast in the past couple of years leaving a lake on his basement floor each time, he knew the problem would only get worse and he had to do something about his flooded basement.
His basement had water infiltration from two sources: leaking concrete around Bilco-style doors, which caused water to enter the basement and pool on the floor around the door, and ground water infiltration from under the floor due to a rising water table after heavy or continuous rains. This caused flooding of the entire basement and ruined the flooring on the finished side of the basement.
Solution
Our basement waterproofing experts installed WaterGuard drain tile around the inside perimeter of the entire basement - the finished and unfinished sides. They also installed a SuperSump sump pump, as well as a TrenchDrain at the bottom of the staircase, which will collect any water that comes down the stairs through the exterior basement entryway.
For the outside, we installed an IceGuard to prevent floods from a frozen discharge line. We also installed the Lawnscape outlet in the backyard to discreetly discharge water away from the foundation.
Thanks to the Basement Systems basement waterproofing system, Anthony can now stop worrying about flooding every time it rains.
