The UltraSump 4 and TimeMachine Data Logger both include features designed to help homeowners better manage basement leaks, floods, and moisture issues.
Basement Systems, Inc. announces a new version of its UltraSump Battery Backup System and the release of the TimeMachine Data Logger. With features designed to help homeowners better manage basement or crawl space leaks, floods, and moisture issues, both the UltraSump 4 and TimeMachine offer safety, peace of mind, and greater convenience for homeowners. Basement Systems is a leader in the design and distribution of waterproofing products for basement and crawl space foundations.
Basement Systems’ UltraSump 4 Battery Backup System is designed to pump water out of a basement or crawl space in the event of (1) a power outage, (2) primary pump failure or (3) if the water level in the sump hole rises above the AC pump’s operating range.
“We’ve seen a steady increase in the number of homeowners looking for a battery backup for their sump pump system,” says Mark Daconto, chief operating officer of Basement Systems. “The new features we’ve incorporated in our UltraSump 4 offer homeowners greater safety and convenience during a power outage, which is when most battery backup pumps are used.”

The UltraSump 4 system includes several new features:
The TimeMachine Data Logger reports and records device data and ambient conditions in the basement or crawl space. Designed to work seamlessly with the UltraSump system, TimeMachine logs device cycles, run times, battery status, power outages, temperature and relative humidity, and communicates the recorded data via an application available on smartphones and tablets.
The TimeMachine Data Logger offers several advantages to homeowners:
“Our TimeMachine data logger makes it easier for homeowners and contractors to detect sump pump problems earlier to help them prevent water problems in the basement or crawl space,” says Daconto. “TimeMachine also detects high relative humidity, which can lead to mold growth in the basement or crawl space if not kept under control.”
All Basement Systems sump pump systems feature a cast-iron pump, mechanical float switch, airtight sump cover, heavy-duty polyethylene sump liner, and built-in high water alarm. The UltraSump has been designed to be used as an emergency backup until homeowners are able to get their primary sump pump running. The UltraSump 4 is available as a standalone backup pump and as part of Basement Systems' TripleSafe Sump Pump System.
