5th Annual Basement Systems Integrity Scholarship Winner Announced
Basement Systems has selected the 2023 recipient of its Integrity Scholarship. Each year, Basement Systems recognizes a student who demonstrates integrity through their work.

From childhood, O’Malley Martin knew her “why” in life. Exhibit A; eight-year-old O’Malley writing a firm letter to the White House addressing climate change issues.
However, staying true to her “why” wasn’t always easy. As an Environmental Science major focusing on Conservation and Sustainability, she knew the odds would always be stacked against her and the environment she’d fight to protect. This was a far cry from other majors like Finance or Psychology that typically garner success, more pay, and a sure job market.
A deep conversation with her father one night helped instill O’Malley’s decision to go into the field which she always had a passion for. Her father still saw the kid who wanted to change the world over some polar bears.
Staying true to your “why” is at the heart of integrity, making O’Malley this year’s Basement Systems Integrity Scholarship winner. Each year, the Integrity Scholarship is awarded to one student looking to further their education who demonstrates integrity through their work.
“O’Malley’s dedication to her work against all odds is what true integrity is,” said Basement Systems owner, Larry Janesky. “I’m proud to announce her as this year’s Integrity Scholarship winner.”
