Crawl Space Vapor Barrier Installation

Crawl space encapsulation can prevent issues like mold, musty odors, and damaged insulation related to crawl space moisture. Adding a vapor barrier to the crawl space floor and walls helps keep moisture out of the crawl space. The CleanSpace® vapor barrier is a 20-mil, 7-layer polyethylene liner that comes with a 25-year warranty against rips and tears. For more information on the CleanSpace® vapor barrier and a free installation cost estimate, contact your local CleanSpace® installer today.

Crawl Space Insulation

Soggy, falling insulation is a sign of moisture damage or incorrect installation. Upgrading your crawl space insulation can help you improve your home’s energy efficiency and indoor air quality. If the crawl space is vented, your CleanSpace® contractor will likely seal the crawl space, add rigid foam board insulation, and add a vapor barrier to the crawl space floor and walls. To learn more about the benefits of an insulated crawl space and the advantages of CleanSpace® products, contact your local installer in Nanaimo, BC today.

Crawl Space Dehumidification

If you suffer from allergies or asthma, it's especially important to treat the air in your crawl space. Adding a dehumidifier is the best solution to help with moisture control. Adding a dehumidifier to your encapsulated crawl space, such as the SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier, will help improve the air quality of your crawl space and the rest of your home. The SaniDry Sedona is designed specifically for crawl spaces and basements. If you're interested in adding a dehumidifier in your crawl space, talk to your local CleanSpace® professional today.

Project Location: Nanaimo, BC V9V 1S9

Comment: Please contact me through email. I have a 3' crawl space with a low spot on one side, it is a cement floor. In the winter the low area gets a couple inches of water in an area about 10' x 10'. I have had the perimeter drain flushed out, the gutters cleaned, and we have checked for where the water is coming in. It looks like we have a high water table, and the building inspector that inspected the house thinks that the vapour barrio under the cement floor must have a leak in that area. The water never gets more than a couple inches deep, but I usually clear it out with a wet/dry vacuum every few weeks in the winter. In the summer it is bone dry even when we get a good bit of rain. I am thinking I need a crawlspace sump pump. Thanks Ryan

Comment: Crawl space needs to be sealed off, probably wall insulated, and protected from moisture.
