Water would seep into this home at the cove joint, where the wall and floor meet
The WaterGuard solution is designed to control perimeter water from the cove joint and redirect that water to a sump pit. The WaterGuard design allows for any walling system solution to be tied in when applicable. EmeShield is a 90-mil wall liner designed to help reduce moisture and/or flash water from the foundation walls into a waterproofing system. Seams are over-lapped, sealed, and taped. EmeShield is held into place using fasteners to the foundation walls.

The WaterGuard solution is designed to control perimeter water from the cove joint and redirect that water to a sump pit. We broke out the perimeter of this Peru, Indiana basement to install our dewatering system, WaterGuard. From there, we channeled the water into a SuperSump pump, and discharged that through an Underground Extension away from the foundation.
To help mitigate water in a dirt crawlspace and redirect to a discharge system, we dug trenches where we laid out filter cloth to minimize sediment getting into system, and installed four-inch slotted drain tile and connected the drain tile to discharge-system sump pit. We backfilled with stone to help further filter any water enters the tile. Next, we dug a hole and removed the soil and related debris. We wrapped the sump basin with filter cloth to minimize sediment getting into the basin. We set the sump system and backfilled it with stone, We laid a layer of Drainage Matting...
To remedy the standing water in this crawlspace we laid Drain Tile along the perimeter to channel water to a SuperSump pump. We discharged the water out an Underground Extension. We then laid a CleanSpace vapor barrier over the tile to trap vapors from the ground, and after installing an Aprilaire Dehumidifier, we solved the issues with the musty smells.
This crack is allowing seepage to come through the wall
