Comment: My crawlspace is becoming the soggy mess like in your photos. When we bought our wood frame cottage 11 years ago, we put down ground cover plastic and insulated under the floor between the joists. We installed several screened vents to encourage air flow. It stayed nice for 8 years or so, but we need to do something. Our cottage sits on a wooded hillside, on the edge of a marsh, and the ground around and under the house is almost always damp. We're looking for a practical solution that doesn't "overkill" on a small, rustically built cottage.
