These homeowners purchased a home that had a crawlspace that needed some updating. It had the very common pink fiberglass insulation that was once thought to be the best option for insulating a crawl space. We have learned that that is NOT the case. This insulation fails if it is not air-sealed or if it gets wet, so a damp, underground space is not the environment for it. Not to mention, it can retain moisture and become a great place for mold to grow. We knew exactly how to help.
Our crawlspace encapsulation creates a bright, healthy, and pest-free space. The CleanSpace System is a heavy 20mil-thick-liner- like a pool liner. It's is manufactured in layers, a blend of high density polyethylene for puncture resistance, low density polyethylene for flexibility, and polyester cord reinforcement for brute tear resistance. It is manufactured with an antimicrobial additive called "UltraFresh" that is molded right into the material. The white finish brightens the space so you can see that your space is staying dry, free of mold, and pest free!
Let us know if you need to update your crawlspace. It will lower humidity in your home, make your floors warmer, and make a healthier home.
Our customer in Lynd, MN noticed Complete Basement Systems booth at the New Ulm home show and inquired about their basement water issues, along with their crawl space. We completed a job in both their basement and crawl space. The crawl space project involved sealing their dirt floor crawl space from the earth using a bright white CleanSpace Liner that will allow their basement to be free from odors, mold, and insects from getting into their home.
This customer was interested in our CleanSpace vapor barrier system. This system prevents the negative effects of a dirt crawl space such as insects and critters, cold floors on the main level and high humidity and condensation. The CleanSpace system isolates your house from the ground promoting a healthier and more heat efficient home.
This Pipestone, MN home has a crawl space underneath it. After showing the homeowner the benefits sealing his dirt crawl space can add to a home, he realized just what had to be done.
A crawl space that has exposed soil such as dirt, allows for those water vapors to transmit to the rest of your home causing mold, moisture, wood rot and insects. The CleanSpace Encapsulation System with Drainage Matting is the answer to eliminate all of that to protect your home.
This homeowner from Fairmont, MN stopped by our office one day to discuss replacing a window well at their home. Without much explanation, we knew exactly what was going on. Wood was commonly used as the structure for window wells. As time goes on, the wood will start to rot or warp due to the elements. This homeowner was using 2x4s to support his well and knew a collapse was imminent.
Our Design Specialist gave the homeowner information about our RockWell Window Well. This well is a solid, one-piece design that will not collapse from backfill or allow water to leak through the well walls. They're UV stable, rust and rot proof, and stand up to extreme temperatures (like those in Minnesota!) They also have a polycarbonate cover that keeps leaves and debris out while allowing light in.
Give us a call to discuss your window or window well issues and see if a RockWell is right for your home!
