The site was difficult to access--under a stairwell--but Al was agile and seemed not to have too much difficulty getting to where he needed to be. The issue was a point at which moisture was gaining access from a hole-basement project Complete Basements did about 15 years ago. This is the first breach in the waterproofing since that time! Al explained why the breach happened, now. I believe we may have it resolved. The waterproofing should be completely sound, again.
Al serviced my system, earlier this year, as part of regularly scheduled servicing for the drainage system and also for a whole-basement dehumidifier.
In addition to addressing the breach in the waterproofing, I also asked Al if he would mind checking the dehumidifier. I had some question about its function. He found the dehumidifier not to be operating as it should and recommended replacing with a new one. I took his advice and believe it was a good decision. I like some of the features of this newer model from April-Aire (humidity level displays, for one thing, and it's also more compact).

I first met Complete Basement Systems at a home show( held in Rochester, every February), meeting one of its representatives at the time, Dan Malsch. He was an excellent salesperson for you, as well as being very conscientious with his follow-through. He formulated a drainage system for both my own duplex and for my daughter's house. Before, both buildings had serious issues with basement flooding. Since installation, there has not been a single drop of water seen! Both addresses are in the Kutzky Park neighborhood of Rochester. One September brought a very heavy rain that resulted in many (majority) of Kutzky Park homes to have basement flooding of some degree or other. We remained completely dry! That's a testimony of the effectiveness of your system, if ever there is one. In addition, CBS installed BrightWall on my basement walls That provides an attractive, easy-to-maintain "finish" to often drab-looking walls. I've been very pleased with the on-going service CBS has been providing to maintain the water-proofing system at optimal functionality. Many thanks.
