  John's Waterproofing came out and encapsulated my crawlspace two years ago. When I decided it was time to finish my basement, they were the only company I called. Throughout the process the crew has been very respectful, clean and thorough. They made sure that my entire basement was sealed off and covered in plastic so that they did not get dirt or mud anywhere in my basement during the process. Manuel answered my questions when I had them and did not mind when I popped my head in to check on their progress. I was very happy with the work they did.   We want to thank you and your crew for the intensive work put forth in our crawl space. The workers put in three long days of dirty, sweaty, claustrophobic work down there and left it looking like the grandkids could play in it! Ok, kidding there! We appreciated the care they took in shielding with heavy plastic the area around our crawl space entry in order to keep dirt and dust from our living area. And what may seem trite but was a plus to our ears one floor above them was that the men always seemed happy to be at their work. Ramon kept us informed of every step and was a real comfort to us when we had concerns about this or that. We can't praise him high enough. Thank you all!!!!   We first called TerraFirma but the salesman said we could dig out the entire exterior, add a membrane, drains etc for about $24,000. When I pressed for other ideas he seemed unenthusiastic. I said I would think about it and he never contacted me again. We then tried another company who was at least amenable to other approaches and gave me a quote of $12,000 for a sump pump and interior perimeter drains. Then we called John's Waterproofing and Peter came out. Peter was awesome. He had a whole suite of things that could help out in the basement and really listened and discussed our options. We weren't going for a dead dry basement that we could finish, we just wanted to get it dry and lower the humidity. So Peter and I went through all the things and came up with a plan together. In the end, we had a sump pump, perimeter drains in the basement and crawlspace, clean space barrier throughout the crawl and bright space paneling on the walls of the basement to stop humidity coming in from the walls. We also had piping installed below ground outside in which to run the gutters out to the street. All of that for only $8000. Once agreed the crews came right on schedule and finished the work ahead of time. I've waited to give a review to see the system in action. For the past week, it has been raining steadily. However in our basement is nothing but dry dust. Description of work: Our house is at the low point along several blocks and so our half basement/half crawl have always had problems with water intrusion. When it's not raining the basement has been humid and damp feeling, when it's raining the basement has had puddles of standing water. That has also caused the house to feel damp. We needed to dry out the basement and run water from the roof away from the house.

  Recently we contacted your company for an estimate to replace our vapor barrier and had the good fortune to have Jacob Bilyeu come to our home to perform the evaluation for these services. Jacob was friendly courteous, efficient, very professional and extremely easy to deal with. Due to the comfort level, we felt with him as your representative, we elected to proceed with John's Waterproofing Company to perform the work. We provided Jacob with an 800$ check as down payment for the scope of work and he scheduled a date for the work to be completed. The service team arrived today, May 3rd and comprised of Mike, Daniel, and Rodney. What a great group! They took special precautions to protect our floors, walls, and doors by covering them with plastic, and, like Jacob Bilyeu, the three of them were friendly, proficient and gave us a feeling that we were definitely in the hands of professionals that know their trade and would execute the work to the highest standards. At the conclusion of the work, they also did a great job of clean-up and left the work area spotless. Our compliments go out to you "John" for hiring staff/personnel of the high standards exhibited by the four aforementioned individuals-they were excellent and represented your company in a manner in which you can be proud.
