Pittsburgh, PA 15207We have an old home with a dirt floor crawl space that has become a home for rats. The space is about 144 sqft. The previous owner incorrectly installed insulation in the space that the rats have pulled down. We currently have pest control taking care of the rats, but would like to look into a more permanent secure solution. They are entering at the entrance of the crawl space, only covered with wood and chicken wire, by digging under it. They could also be getting in by burrowing under other sections. Our assumption is that we would like to secure the perimeter of the crawl space, install appropriate insulation, and install a moisture barrier. But, we would appreciate your expertise in determining the best solution.
