What made you choose our company:

Naturally, choosing the right company to do foundation repair is a big decision, hence I did a lot of research before I gave the job to Cantey. Now that everything is done, I can honestly say, I chose the right company. Actually, I needed two jobs done. The first one wasn't a big deal. In the basement of my house, the support beams which support the upper floor were spaced out too wide, as it was customary in the 60s (apparently). This was not a problem but the situation was not up-to-bar by today's building code. Cantey did an excellent job and installed 4 smart jacks. I was so impressed with the work that I also gave them the second job. The second job was a preventive measure. There is quite a bit of erosion on Paris Mountain where I live. Considering that the fall rains have gotten more intense every year I was also concerned what the future might bring. Since my house is my dream home, I felt it would be best to take preventive measures. Cantey's expert found out that, indeed, one corner and one side of the house had sunken by a bit less than a centimeter. The other three sides of the house were fine. So, I gave Cantey the 2nd job and they installed 6 helical piers. I was amazed to see how they remedied the situation and brought the house up to level again. It's a fascinating process. By having this one side of the house "propped up" now, I probably avoided greater problems and higher costs in the future, should the climate emergency continue on its trajectory. I was also very pleased with how Cantey's team worked. Not only did they put all soil back and cleaned up when they were done, even though I did NOT ask for it, they also buried the plastic drain pipe that funnels away the rainwater which is collected by the gutter. This was utterly amazing. It's been a long time since I have seen this intelligent, forward-thinking, and customer-orientated work approach. 5 stars, I'd recommend Cantey any day to all of my friends and even my 79-yr old mother.
