Get a free estimateThis was a very good company to work with. I worked directly with Matt Clark and he was very responsive and accommodating.
The only service I had was encapsulation of a basement that has a dirt floor and "knee walls" in a seasonal residence. I needed to reduce a very bad humidity problem that developed. The crew did a very good job of leveling the dirt and removing large stones prior to installing the mat and liner. I highly recommend the mat, as it provides an additional layer of protection to support the liner.
It has been one week since the installation. Unfortunately, while the musty smell is gone, the humidity problem is still an issue because the surface of the liner is wet from condensation (no pipes are leaking). I believe the purpose of the liner is to reduce, not completely eliminate, the temperature difference that leads to the humidity. So I will use a dehumidifier for awhile and see if that eliminates the condensation problem. If it does, it will leave me wondering whether I spent a lot of money to encapsulate the basement when all I needed was to run a dehumidifier! The basement walls have some foam insulation that runs the perimeter at the top of the walls, but it may turn out that I need to add more insulation. Time will tell - one step at a time!
He was on time, professional, and well prepared. The brochure includes photos of "before and after" that were very helpful.
They wasted no time whatsoever and left no mess at all.
