Moisture signs on the walls, failing insulation and a thin layer of plastic covering the wet dirt floors.
This material serves as the base layer for the crawl space encapsulation. It keeps air and moisture from the crawl space air.
The dirty old insulation shows how dirt and allergens had been able to come into the crawl space from the open vents. The insulation acted like a filter and collected it all, turning it from bright pink to dark.
Our productions teams often work in spaces like this. Clearing out the unwanted mess, leveling the floors where needed and properly treating the space to improve air quality and home performance.
