Water used to seep through the bottom of the walls in this Stamford basement. To stop this water from entering the home, our team installed the CleanSpace vapor barrier on the lower half of the basement walls. The CleanSpace stops all water and water vapor from entering the house, and instead redirects it to the Waterguard drainage system. The owners of this home no longer have to worry about a wet basement!
In this Stamford home the homeowners would have water coming in during heavy rains. The water would come into the home and pool which would damage the walls, since the water had nowhere else to go since there wasn't and existing sump pump. The homeowners called the experts at CT Basement Systems and we made their waterproofing worries go away with just one visit. We installed our SuperSump® premier pump system . Our pump helps keep basements dry because it includes a powerful Zoeller® ⅓ horsepower cast-iron sump pump, capable of pumping 2,220 gallons of water per hour at an 8-foot head out of your basement. The homeowners can now look forward to a dry basement.
This Stamford basement was suffering from water damage, excess mold and chipping paint, making it an eyesore but also worrying the homeowners that their basement was unhealthy and unsafe. Unsure of what to do, the homeowners gave us a call here at Connecticut Basement Systems. We sent one of our basement waterproofing experts to check it out and in consultation with the homeowner, we recommended installation of our Clean Space Water Vapor Barrier over the wall. This works to prevent any future mold and water stains from surfacing. Not as visible, but very effective, our crew also installed our WaterGuard French Drain System, which collects any water that might leak from the wall through cracks, windows or seepage.

They installed our WaterGuard drainage system below the floor, around the entire perimeter of the basement to collect water seepage. Our CleanSapce vapor barrier was also installed on the walls. Then our TripleSafe sump pump will take the collected water and pump it out of the home at a safe distance.

This Brewster basement had traditional fiber glass insulation that was poorly installed and was not controlling the heat and cool air throughout the home properly. This caused the home to have uneven temperatures and a high electric bill. They wanted a solution to make sure air leakage is totally prevented. They decided to give Connecticut Basement Systems a call to help find them a solution.
The experts at Connecticut Basement Systems installed Spray Foam on the ceiling of the basement. Spray Foam was the best option for this home because it effectively fills voids and odd-shaped spaces, meaning that you will always get total coverage. This product will stop air leakage, making it effective at saving the home owners money through their electricity bill. Lastly, Spray Foam will not absorb moisture or lose R-value like fiberglass.
Now that their basement ceiling is completely Spray Foamed, these happy homeowners enjoy consistent temperatures throughout the home and a lower electric bill!
