This homeowner's basement in Effingham, IL, was was suffering from bad water leakage, flooding the basement and causing water damage every time it rained. To fix this, the WaterGuard perimeter drainage system was installed to collect the water along the wall as it leaks, and drain it to the sump pump to pump it out of the house. This will keep the floors dry, and reduce the water damage exponentially.

A foundation was cracking in Effingham, IL, and water was seeping through it. To solve these issues, the PowerBrace System was first installed. This system is designed to stabilize a home’s foundation permanently. It will support the basement walls and straighten them over time. Next, the CleanSpace Basement Wall System was installed. This will prevent water vapor from permeating the basement walls. The white color will also brighten the basement, reflecting the light. Any wall leaks will also be drained down to the WaterGuard System. This drainage system is installed adjacent to the home and provides a channel that connects to the sump pump.  Its design will drain any wall seepage without allowing dirt and debris from the floor to enter and clog the pipes. WaterGuard, a perimeter drainage system, was installed. Before WaterGuard, the homeowner had PVC pipe surrounding the basement to attempt to guide the water. However, the PVC did not prevent water from entering the basement. WaterGuard is installed below the floor, so the basement not only looks good, but it will also stay dry.

The before photo shows the problem area that would flood in times of heavey rain, causing water to enter the garage and even part of the home.
