This customer wanted the pads in front of his garage doors to be lifted. The main reason the pads were settling was because of washout. This was an urgent project because if we waited much longer the cost to repair would increase. We lifted and stabilized the concrete pads using PolyLevel, one pad had to be lifted 3 inches! We finished up by using NexusPro to seal all the joints and cracks.
Concrete structures often feature intentional control joints to manage cracking caused by shrinkage and temperature changes. However, if these joints are left unsealed, concerns about their effectiveness and visual appearance may arise.
One customer expressed worry over the unsealed control joints in their driveway, recognizing the importance of proper maintenance.
To resolve the problem, our team applied Nexus Pro, a high-quality joint sealant, to seal all of the control joints in the driveway. Nexus Pro provides a durable and flexible barrier that prevents moisture intrusion, prolonging the lifespan of the concrete and maintaining its visual integrity.
This homeowner was frustrated as her concrete had been undermined by chipmunks and rainwater that washed out the soil underneath the concrete. She had enough of these struggles, so she called us.
We sent System Design Specialist Nick Wessling to inspect the unique concrete problem and answer all questions that this homeowner had. Nick determined that the voids underneath the concrete created by the eroding soil and chipmunk areas led to the concrete breaking and settling over an inch. The homeowner was impressed with this assessment and wanted to complete this project with us. Nick and his team used PolyLevel Concrete Leveling and NexusPro Cracked Concrete Repair to raise the settled concrete and seal it off from water or chipmunks getting into the joints of the concrete.
The homeowner was very excited with the final result as she wanted to do this project for a while. Check our her concrete restoration!
We recently had the opportunity to help Jan with her sunken concrete steps. We were able to restore her steps to their original position and stability with Polylevel. This happens by injecting polyurethane foam beneath the concrete through tiny ports, no larger than a penny. It starts off flowing like water, so it fills even the tiniest spots in the soil. As the foam expands and hardens, it lifts the slab and compresses the surrounding soil. Thanks to the fast drying time of PolyLevel, Jan was able to use her steps on the same day. At Midwest, we are committed to delivering high-quality foundation repair services that exceed our customers' expectations.
The sidewalk to the home of this couple was getting so bad it was becoming an extreme trip hazard for family and friends who wanted to visit. They had been Thrasher customers before, they knew of our reputation and loved the great quality work they received in the past, so they called us back up. Jordan Mullen, one of our System Design Specialists, went out to meet them. Jordan found they had a downspout right on the corner of their home that was dumping water right onto the sidewalk, which caused the soil the wash away from under the sidewalk. This caused the sidewalk to break away from each other and settle. To fix these issues, we buried the downspout out into the yard, so it wouldn't continue to dump water onto the sidewalk. Then we lifted and leveled the sidewalk to the home, using our Polylevel, and sealed all the joints and cracks with nexus pro. These homeowners were very pleased with the work done, and are planning on calling Thrasher again for all of their foundation, waterproofing, and concrete needs.
