This seven year old basement had seen us once before, where we sealed up the slab cracks in the basement floor using NexusPro sealant. The customer called us back to install some steel piers called Smart Jacks, which will never rust and can be adjusted in the future for changes in height. They are situated under the main beams, which allows them to provide amazing strength and support to the basement ceiling.
This home in Richmond, Kentucky had walls that were cracking due to the foundation soil moving. In order to push the house back to where it needed to be, we installed SmartJacks along with a supplemental beam that allowed for the home to rise back to its original level. This home could now fill in those cracks and not have to worry about them forming ever again.
This house's foundation was sinking vertically, and this was fixed by installing helical piers. Piers are able to raise the slab of homes by using hydraulic pressure and its strong steel shape.
This basement had wooden piers that were cracking and bending due to old age combined with moisture. We installed SmartJacks in order to keep this houses foundation stable. The inorganic steel will keep the SmartJacks safe from moisture forever.
This customer had worked with us once before to waterproof their basement. Our customer had us back out to inspect their foundation, which they suspected was sinking. They were right, so we got right to work on installing helical piers through their basement floor. We first jackhammered the concrete floor away, then we dug the dirt out all the way to the footers. We then attached our piers to the footer, then pressed the piers all the way to solid dirt under the house. We then used hydraulics to raise the footers back to where it originally was.
