This house in Somerset, Kentucky was having trouble with a sinking foundation due to soil movement and other factors. The best solution was to install Smart Jacks to stabilize the foundation once and for all. The Smart Jacks are special because they penetrate the most stable, deepest part of the soil, so they don't move ever. They are also as strong as The Incredible Hulk, except Smart Jacks exist in the real world.
This house had a crawlspace that was sinking into the ground. As a result, the floors above the crawl space were sagging because they lost support. It also doesn't help that the crawlspace had a lot of moisture, which was showing early signs of rot in the beams in the crawl space. We fixed this problem by installing our crawl space SmartJacks, where we can adjust the length of the SmartJacks any time. They also won't rust and are super strong.
PolyLevel work was needed on this front porch slab, which was sinking into the ground because it was on the same type of soil as the right side of the home, (which received piers.) PolyLevel requires small injection holes calculatedly spread across the porch to carefully lift the porch back to its original position. The PolyLevel foam is very durable and light, so it won't allow the porch to continue to sink after lifted.
The right side of this house was settling into the soil, causing the brick siding to fall away from the foundation wall. We aimed to put a stop to it by installing six piers on the side of the house. After attaching the piers to the footers of the foundation, we used hydraulics to raise the foundation back to where it was originally.
This basement wall was caving in which is something that needs to be taken pretty seriously. It's important that bowing walls are help up by products that are strong, reliable, and durable, just like our PowerBrace's seen here.
