Comment: I recently purchased my first home and have encountered a few sump pump-related issues. I first noticed a potential issue during a rainstorm. The sump pump basin float switch triggered/activated every 4 minutes and any water that pushes up through the discharge pipe outside immediately drains/absorbs back underground (towards my home. It seems likely that I have a grading/foundation issue. Additionally, more recently, every time the sump pump runs, the outdoor cap/pipe pops out of the ground.
