Margaret S. of New Hampton, IA had water leaking into her basement and she wasn't sure where it was coming from. Our Design Specialist, Josh, went to Margaret's home, carefully inspected her basement, and determined a solution that would work for her and her needs. Margaret was confident in the proposal of our WaterGuard Below Floor Drain and TripleSafe Sump Pump System, so she decided to move forward with the project. 

Our Foreman, Chris, and his production team began the project by breaking out the concrete floor perimeter, forming a trench. In the trench, our team installed our WaterGuard, which is designed to prevent water clogs and collect water seepage from basement walls. Next, our team replaced her pre-existing sump pump with our TripleSafe, which has three layers of water protection and solves all three water problems in one unit. To complete the installation, our team filled the open-floor gaps with rock and applied new concrete over them, ensuring the space was neat and clean.

He contacted us based on a referral, so we sent our Design Specialist, Mac Cole, to his home to inspect the issue and provide him with a FREE estimate. Mac developed a thorough plan to waterproof Don's basement and Don was pleased with the proposal, so he scheduled to have our waterproofing system installed. 

Our production team started the installation by removing the concrete around the perimeter of the basement floor and laying our WaterGuard drainage system. Then, they installed a TripleSafe sump pump, which is our most reliable sump pump, and replaced the concrete. Now, water that seeps into his basement is drained through the WaterGuard drainage system to the sump pump. From there, the water is pumped through the discharge line and expelled from the home. Don is glad he chose to invest in a long-term solution to protect his basement.

A homeowner in Harmony, MN, was cleaning their basement when they discovered a water stain along their basement footing. Alarmed by this discovery, the homeowner knew they needed a professional to inspect the extent of the damage. The homeowner knew their neighbor had similar work done, so they asked who completed their project. Their neighbor said American Waterworks and talked about the wonderful job we did. When Clay arrived at the home, he began inspecting the basement and the already-installed products. Our Foreman, Raul, and his crew traveled to the home to begin the project. Once they arrived, the crew started by installing the WaterGuard around the entire basement perimeter. Once the WaterGuard was installed, the crew replaced the old sump pump with the TripleSafe sump pump. Moving forward, Raul and the crew installed an IceGuard on the outside discharge line. Finally, the crew put the FoamMax on the exterior foundation walls. Once all the products were installed, the crew cleaned up their materials and left the home. A homeowner in Pine Island, MN, was unhappy with the status of their basement. Unsure where the water was sneaking in, the homeowner knew they needed a professional opinion. A couple of years prior, the homeowner had us complete a FREE estimate at their home. The plans were sent to our Foreman, Lane, and his crew. Once they arrived, Lane and the crew installed the WaterGuard around the entire perimeter of the basement. After installing the WaterGuard, the crew attached CleanSpace to the basement walls. Additionally, the old sump pump was replaced with the TripleSafe Sump Pump. On the outside, the crew attached the IceGuard to the discharge line. After all the products were properly installed, the crew cleaned up their materials and left the home. A Minnesota City, MN, homeowner had been keeping an eye on her energy bill throughout the summer. She noticed that her AC unit had been continually running, which seemed odd to her. When her bills returned higher than usual, she began to suspect an issue with her crawl space. She began the search for crawl space repairs in Minnesota and eventually found our website. She decided to sign up for our FREE estimate, and a few weeks later, our Design Specialist, Dustin L, headed out to the home.

Dustin completed his inspection and found that the humidity in the space was 68.3% RH. Typically, crawl spaces should be within the 50-60% range. Upwards of 60% can lead to the growth of mold and mildew, which would become precursors for wood rot. Dustin informed the homeowner that we could use several of our products to address the issue. First, Dustin wanted to use CleanSpace and drainage matting. CleanSpace is a 100% waterproof tarp-like material that gets adhered directly to to the unfinished walls of the crawl space. It works to trap water entering through the walls, draining it downward to the drainage matting and perimeter drains if applicable. If the CleanSpace had been installed flush with the ground of the space, trapped water wouldn't be able to flow to a disposal site. Drainage matting fis a dimpled layer of plastic that gives water flooding into the space a channel underneath the CleanSpace. In addition to these two products, Dustin recommended our AprilAire dehumidifier. Even a basement with an effective waterproofing system can still develop moisture and mold problems and may feel damp. Adding an Aprilaire dehumidifier creates healthy air and can reduce the number of viable viruses in the air to less than 1% in two days when set to 50% RH. The homeowner liked the sound of the plan and scheduled the job to be completed several weeks later. 

On the day of the installation, our Foreman, Jesus M, and his team installed 660 sqft of CleanSpace, 494 sqft of drainage matting, and 1 AprilAire dehumidifier. Now, our customer can enter the cold months knowing her home is protected from harsh weather conditions!
