A homeowner in Byron, MN, was cleaning their basement when they discovered the bottom panels of their walls were damp. Concerned by this discovery, the homeowner wanted to find a solution fast! The homeowner signed up for their FREE estimate online and prepared for the arrival of Darin, one of our Design Specialists. Once Darin arrived, the homeowner explained their issue and he began inspecting the basement. Darin completed the estimate and determined that the basement needed to be fully waterproofed. After explaining what was happening in their home, Darin recommended installing the WaterGuard around the basement perimeter. The homeowner agreed with Darin's recommendations, so production plans were sent to the assigned crew. Our Foreman, Kiko, and his crew made their way out to the home to complete the project. Kiko and his crew began by prepping the basement for production. Once the basement was ready, the crew installed the WaterGuard around the entire perimeter. Additionally, the crew dug a feedline so it ties into their current sump system. After the WaterGuard was placed and covered, the crew put the basement back together. A homeowner from Lake City, MN, had noticed her basement walls were leaking after heavy rain in the area. Darin wanted a comprehensive system for this basement to ensure that unwanted water was a thing of the past. First, he recommended the installation of our CleanSpace vapor barrier. CleanSpace is a 100% waterproof tarp-like material that gets installed directly onto unfinished basement walls, acting to catch water entering through small cracks and holes in the foundation, directing it downward and into our WaterGuard system. This unique French drain gets installed below the basement floor but atop the footing of the foundation, keeping it out of the 'mud zone' where similar drains tend to clog. This drain works to trap water entering from the CleanSpace, as well as any water coming up through holes in the floor, giving it a channel to flow freely to the appropriate disposal site. Darin noted that the basement lacked a means of disposing of unwanted water, so he recommended our SuperSump Plus, an effective yet economical decision for combating unwanted water. The homeowner loved the idea of our products working together to keep the basement dry and signed on the spot. 

When the day of the installation eventually rolled around, our Foreman, Lane S, and his team arrived bright and early to complete the project. In the end, they successfully installed 95ft of WaterGuard, 79ft of CleanSpace, and 1 SuperSump Plus sump pump. Our Foreman, Arturo Mares, and his production crew were successfully able to waterproof Kevin’s basement by first, removing the concrete around the perimeter of the basement and laying our WaterGuard drainage system. Next, they installed our recommended TripleSafe sump pump. Now, water is properly guided through the WaterGuard to the sump pump, which is then expelled from the home through the discharge line. Lastly, they completed the project with installing our Fomax Wall Insulation Panels. Foamax provides comfort and energy bill savings, while making the walls look clean and bright. Kevin's peace of mind has been restored, knowing his basement will remain dry!
