A homeowner in Byron, MN contacted American Waterworks after noticing their cement pad in front their 3 stall garage needed to be lifted about 2.5 to 3 inches.
A homeowner in Byron, MN, was cleaning their basement when they discovered the bottom panels of their walls were damp. Concerned by this discovery, the homeowner wanted to find a solution fast! The homeowner did an online search and came across our website. Impressed by the many services we offer, the homeowner knew we would have a solution for them. The homeowner signed up for their FREE estimate online and prepared for the arrival of Darin, one of our Design Specialists. Once Darin arrived, the homeowner explained their issue and he began inspecting the basement. Darin completed the estimate and determined that the basement needed to be fully waterproofed. After explaining what was happening in their home, Darin recommended installing the WaterGuard around the basement perimeter. The homeowner agreed with Darin's recommendations, so production plans were sent to the assigned crew. Our Foreman, Kiko, and his crew made their way out to the home to complete the project. Kiko and his crew began by prepping the basement for production. Once the basement was ready, the crew installed the WaterGuard around the entire perimeter. Additionally, the crew dug a feedline so it ties into their current sump system. After the WaterGuard was placed and covered, the crew put the basement back together. The homeowner was delighted to know their basement was properly waterproofed. American Waterworks is glad to provide another homeowner peace of mind.
A homeowner from Lake City, MN, had noticed her basement walls were leaking after heavy rain in the area. She was concerned about what leaking walls could mean for her house, so she immediately began to search for 'interior basement waterproofing near me' and quickly found our website. She signed up for her FREE estimate, and several weeks later, our Design Specialist, Darin S, headed out to the home.
Upon his arrival, Darin got right to work assessing the space. Once he finished, he was ready to meet with the homeowner to deliver recommendations. Darin began by saying that the homeowner did the right thing by seeking a professional's help. He explained that water intrusion issues are often simpler to tackle when they're first noticed versus years down the road. Darin wanted a comprehensive system for this basement to ensure that unwanted water was a thing of the past. First, he recommended the installation of our CleanSpace vapor barrier. CleanSpace is a 100% waterproof tarp-like material that gets installed directly onto unfinished basement walls, acting to catch water entering through small cracks and holes in the foundation, directing it downward and into our WaterGuard system. This unique French drain gets installed below the basement floor but atop the footing of the foundation, keeping it out of the 'mud zone' where similar drains tend to clog. This drain works to trap water entering from the CleanSpace, as well as any water coming up through holes in the floor, giving it a channel to flow freely to the appropriate disposal site. Darin noted that the basement lacked a means of disposing of unwanted water, so he recommended our SuperSump Plus, an effective yet economical decision for combating unwanted water. The homeowner loved the idea of our products working together to keep the basement dry and signed on the spot.
When the day of the installation eventually rolled around, our Foreman, Lane S, and his team arrived bright and early to complete the project. In the end, they successfully installed 95ft of WaterGuard, 79ft of CleanSpace, and 1 SuperSump Plus sump pump. Now, our customer can enjoy the rain, confidently knowing that her basement has the best line of defense against water!
Our client in Mason City, IA discovered her basement would flood after it rained. After a free inspection by American Waterworks, we discovered that the water was entering through their Egress Window. Kevin S. in Mason City, IA contacted American Waterworks because he was tired of dealing with standing water in his basement after heavy rains and snow melt. Being a previous customer, he knew the crew at American Waterworks would take care of him and provide the best solution. He met with our Design Specialist, Dylan Woitas, who evaluated the situation and worked side-by-side with Kevin to create a unique plan for his home.
Our Foreman, Arturo Mares, and his production crew were successfully able to waterproof Kevin’s basement by first, removing the concrete around the perimeter of the basement and laying our WaterGuard drainage system. Next, they installed our recommended TripleSafe sump pump. Now, water is properly guided through the WaterGuard to the sump pump, which is then expelled from the home through the discharge line. Lastly, they completed the project with installing our Fomax Wall Insulation Panels. Foamax provides comfort and energy bill savings, while making the walls look clean and bright. Kevin's peace of mind has been restored, knowing his basement will remain dry!
