Lori K. in Albert Lea, MN had an older home, and she was concerned about the stability of the foundation and the water leaking into her basement. She found American Waterworks in the phone book and gave us a call. We sent one of our Design Specialists, Ryan Powell, to meet with Lori, evaluate the situation, and propose the best solution. Lori was impressed with Ryan’s presentation, and she moved forward with the project. 

Our Foreman, Jesus Covarrubias, and his production team were successfully able to stabilize Lori’s foundation with the installation of 10 Geo-Lock Wall Anchors around the deteriorating foundation. They began the waterproofing project by removing the concrete around the perimeter of the basement and installing 100 feet of our WaterGuard drainage system. Next, they installed the SuperSump sump pump with a battery backup and the CleanSpace vapor barrier along the walls to further protect the space from mold and moisture. Lastly, they installed the SaniDry dehumidifier to take care of any humidity and cleaned up their work area. Lori was pleased with the entire process and is glad she made the investment to protect her home!

Previous windows in a homeowner's house were leaking water underneath their pre-existing Window Sunhouse, which is a dome protectant that prevents debris from invading the window. Our team at American Waterworks installed our Window Well Duct that collects any water that makes its way into the Sunhouse. In this scenario, our WellDuct Drain is connected to the homeowner's pre-existing waterproofing system which leads to the sump pump system to guide water out of the home.
