This Duluth, MN homeowner called DBS to set up a free, no-obligation estimate for her crawl space concerns. Her home had started to show signs that something was going wrong under her home. She noticed that her floors started to sag, as well as excess moisture in her living spaces. Design Specialist, Henrik Makitalo visited this home and upon his inspection concluded that the home should have the crawl space encapsulated as well as the use of our patented SmartJacks to stabilize the home's sagging support beams. Foreman, Kevin Steffy and his crew were tasked with the installation of SmartJacks and our CleanSpace crawlspace encapsulation material. They were able to achieve the desired results, and the homeowner was happy with the results.
This time of year, when snow starts to melt and grounds become soaked with excess water, basement flooding can be a common problem among households. In Duluth, MN, a homeowner in the Park Point area was experiencing just this. Park Point is a hot spot for basement flooding, being right on the shores of Lake Superior. Fortunately, they reached out to DBS and a crew was able to provide a specially designed waterproofing service for Park Point homes. This included the installation of a sump pump, WaterGuard®, and the placement of dimple drainage matting. To top it off, 4 inches of fresh new concrete was poured along the basement floor to elevate the surface. The overall results turned out great, and the photos from the project can be viewed here.
In Duluth, MN, a homeowner in the Park Point area was looking to upgrade their basement by adding support for their sagging floor, as well as making an improvement to their waterproofing system. After a thorough inspection, it was determined that the SmartJack® XL system would have to be installed for structural support, and our specially designed waterproofing plan would be put in place for this basement. In Park Point homes, our crews carefully place dimple drainage matting along the exisitng concrete floor, and then pour a new layer of concrete on top of that to elevate the flooring. While other waterproofing products are installed as well, this is a crucial step to ensuring that no further water issues take place within the basement. The results of the project can be seen here!
A homeowner in Duluth, MN reached out to DBS regarding their basement in the Park Point area of the community. We have seen that many homes in the Park Point area are prone to water damage in the lower parts of their home, being that they are either at or below water level. In this case, the owner was looking for an upgraded waterproofing system to combat flooding. It was determined by our Design Specialist that our crew would install several different products (WaterGuard®, TripleSafe™ sump pump, Dimple Drainage Matting) along the base flooring of the area, and finish it off with a new layer of concrete to elevate the floor and protect from any future water issues.
These Duluth homeowners reached out to DBS after seeing our trucks around town. They had been having issues with water entering their basement and wanted a permanent solution to the problem.
Design Specialist Henrik Makitalo provided a free, no-obligation estimate for the work. Foreman Zach Royer and his production team installed our WaterGuard® System along the perimeter of the basement and a TripleSafe™ Sump Pump to keep water out of the basement for good.
This home now has a clean, safe and dry basement to enjoy!
