This homeowner was struggling because he just bought his home recently, and he noticed that the drywall was separating at the ceiling around his bathroom door. He was concerned that this would progressively get worse, so after seeing our help of his neighbor with a similar issue, he gave us a call.

We sent System Design Specialist Brandon Powers to inspect the support structure of the homeowner's crawl space because this is what often causes cracks in upstairs drywall. Brandon found that the upstairs floors were uneven and that was causing the issues of the drywall. The floors being uneven were due to the existing support structures in the home's crawl space were not functioning anymore. Brandon knew just what to do, so his team installed SmartJacks to permanently stabilize the floor and lift it back to its original position. They also installed a new TripleSafe Sump Pump so that there were no more issues with support beams failing.

This homeowner had a block wall leaning in their basement. They wanted to start remodeling their basement, so they knew the first thing they had to do was address their bowing wall. So they called Thrasher Foundation Repair. 

Jon Patterson performed the inspection and decided the best solution for these failing walls were to install PowerBraces. Our install team got onsite and successfully were able to stabilize the bowing walls and save their basement and foundation. Now the homeowner is excited to get started on finishing the basement. 

This customer in Des Moines, IA was having problems with the pooling water around his patio and deck. He was worried this would eventually damage his patio and later cause him larger problems with his foundation. Having used Thrasher in the past for other projects, he knows he could trust us to get the job done right for him.

When the team came out, they determined that he had a drainage issue that was causing the pooling in these areas. The crew decided that the best solution would be to use a buried downspout extension. Downspout extensions are a more efficient way to carry water away from your home's foundation, they provide a continuous path for the water to flow to an area safely away.  

After the installation of the downspout, this customer no longer has to worry about damage to his patio or foundation and can enjoy the space without the pooling water. 

Wet spring soils swelled up with water pushed this basement wall inward.  As you can see the crack in the wall is opened up wide.  About a half of an inch.  The next photo will show the wall is pushed back and the crack is closing as the wall is straightened. 

These homeowners had used our services previously when their family moved into their home, so when they found a large wall problem upon remodeling their downstairs bathroom, they knew just who to call. System Design Specialist Kevin French came out to this home once again to inspect the wall problem and determine what happened and how to fix it. Kevin found that the previous seller of the home was hiding wall damage by putting the unfinished bathroom in so that the leaking and wall cracks wouldn't effect the sale.
