This home's retaining wall was caving over. The homeowner is going to rent the bottom half of her home to her son, but the door to that part of the home can barely shut due to the retaining wall. She knows that if it's not fixed then it will fall over and be a bigger issue. To fix this issue, our crew excavated the area in front of the wall and then installed three wall anchors to it.
This homeowner in Hornick wanted to sell her home, but wall failure in her basement was scaring away many buyers and attracting low offers from the rest. Once the homeowner was able to share that the walls were being repaired by Thrasher and that the warranty for the work would transfer with the home, interested increased and the home was sold shortly thereafter for a good price.
Mike's been remodeling his home and wants to do it right. It's important to him to preserve their forever home the best he can, and he knows protecting the foundation is key. Mike's worked with Thrasher in the past, so he knew exactly who to call. System Design Specialist, Jesse White, went out to Mike's home to see what was going on.
Upon inspection, we found Mike's foundation walls were failing and had moved enough to see an impact on the upper level of the home. To fix this issue, we installed PowerBrace on the walls for extra support. Our PowerBrace system involves galvanized I-beams that run the full height of your foundation walls and is securely fastened to the concrete basement floor.
Mike was very happy with the results.
This homeowner was annoyed with the area where her garage meets her driveway. This is a very common place you can see concrete sinking. But luckily, it's an easy fix! We were able to drill pea-size holes and inject PolyLevel beneath the slab to lift and level the driveway back to its original position.
Marvin and Mary C. were tired of always having water intrusion in their basement. They had spent a significant amount of time getting this fixed, but no solution had worked. They wanted a permanent solution that would last, as previous customers Marvin and Mary, decided to call Thrasher.
We sent System Design Specialist Brandon Brown out to their home. He has able to see that there was extreme cracking and wall failure with over 3 inches of deflection in the middle of one of the walls. Hydrostatic pressure and expensive soil had caused a freeze line crack. The crew installed Geo-Lock anchors to stabilize the walls. Marvin and Mary were thrilled to know their walls would be stable now and appreciated the work the crew put into installed the Geo-Lock Anchors.
