This home in Seward, NE was having some major foundation problems. Team Leader, Mike, and his crew installed 12 push piers to the side of this home. Push pier systems utilize high-strength round steel tube sections and a load transfer bracket to stabilize and lift sinking or settling foundations, which is what happened at this house.
In Seward, NE, a local church had a bowing wall in the basement. They didn't want the issue to get worse as they store items and have meetings in the rooms adjacent to that wall. A few of the members of the church had used Thrasher before, and so they had us out to see how we could help them. System Design Specialist, Joe Dearth, came out, did an inspection, and found there was expansive soil with little access to sunlight that was causing hydrostatic pressure. Eventually, this pressure was strong enough to force the wall inward.
To solve this issue, Thrasher installed 12 PowerBraces with different brackets to support the floor joists. Once installed, the PowerBraces can be tightened to straighten the wall back out. Check out the before and after of this project!
To stabilize this settling sun deck, we installed a series of SmartJack support jacks along the perimeter of the structure. With the weight now evenly distributed, this deck can once more be enjoyed worry-free.
Shane F. could see the walls in his basement bowing in. Shane’s grandfather built this house and has been in the family for many years. Shane wanted to restore the home to keep the house in his family. He wanted to fix his failing foundation and called Thrasher Foundation Repair.
We installed wall anchors, PowerBraces, and ShotLock to give Shane and his family a brand new basement wall. Shane went from having a failing wall to having a beautiful brand new wall.
Patricia W. has been worried about the floors in her home for quite some time. She noticed there was serve sagging and anxious that they would collapse. She decided to give us a call.
We sent System Design Specialist Anthony Salcedo out to the home. He was able to identify that there was serve rotting out of the floor joists due to moisture that had occurred. A carpenter came out and removed the subfloor and repaired the joists prior to install. We were able to support the floor as designed and also encapsulated the crawlspace with CleanSpace.
