The tech was excellent. However I am very disappointed with CT Basement. The tech explained to me that the dehumidifier needs to drain in the sump pump and the hole in the sump pump was never punctured and the dehumidifiershose was never placed in the sump pump to drain the water. The hose was draining in my basement.

The tech was great however, I was contacted by the manager who asked if I or someone in the house moved the hose. He was unprofessional and very accusatory. I reiterated what the tech told me. The sump pump has a hole that needed to be punctured and the drain hose installed securely in the sump pump.This was never done. Causing hundreds if not thousands of dollars of damage to a finished basement. The manager didn’t want to accept any responsibility for this error made by CT Basement. The manager was also told that the the sump pump and dehumidifier belong to the condo and that he needed to speak with them. He stated “you’re the homeowner and the one listed on the account. He was reluctant to take the condo’s information which I insisted on.

The tech told me the hose should have been replaced and installed correctly. He replaced the hose and installed it into the sump pump correctly.

His assessment was accurate and he addressed the issue. However, the issue of black mold which has spread from the utility room to my kitchenette remains.

The service work, level of professionalism by the tech was outstanding. I stated I was having an issue with my asthma and he commented that he was also having an issue with his asthma the short time he was in my basement. He stated he would report this as well.

Although the tech corrected the issue. The black mode damage remains. I would like CT Basement to work with Woodland Hills Condo to address the remaining issues in an expedient manner. Based on the manager response to an obvious mistake made by CT Basement and lack of accountability, given the facts provided by the tech, I cannot recommend this company to any of my family or friends.
