A new homeowner in Staten Island, New York had water in their basement and contacted Quality 1st for a solution. Our System Design Specialist went to inspect the basement and noticed the signs of water and recommended a waterproofing system be installed. WaterGuard was installed along the perimeter of the basement and underneath the floor slab to make sure the system does not clog. WaterGuard collects the water that seeps in through the basement walls and floors and directs it to the sump pump. The SuperSump sump pump was installed in the basement to keep it dry for extended periods of time, even during heavy water intrusion. The SuperSump is capable of pumping 2,220 gallons of water per hour out of an 8-foot head out of the basement. This system is perfect for occasional water issues, but nothing severe.
This Staten Island homeowner faced puddles in his basement after a heavy storm. He would get water in his basement after heavy rains, so he contacted Quality 1st Basement Systems for options on waterproofing his basement. Our System Design Specialist recommended the WaterGuard (full perimeter basement waterproofing system), TripleSafe Sump Pump (the best sump on the market, including a battery backup for power outages!), and BrightWall panels to further waterproof and brighten this basement space which is now completely dry!
During the winter, the discharge lines of this Staten Island home would freeze causing the basement to flood. Quality 1st Basement Systems installed the IceGuard system to prevent that from happening again. The IceGuard is fitted on the discharge line and automatically ejects the water away from the exterior wall if the pipes were to freeze. The homeowner has not had an issue with his basement since the IceGuard was installed.
Homeowner wanted to give their basement a more finished look by getting new floors and walls to brighten up the area. From time to time water has come through into the basement and so they wanted material that would be waterproof. Quality 1st Basement Systems installed Thermal Dry Flooring, which interlock together for easy installation and replacement if needed. The flooring has pegs underneath to prevent water from getting trapped underneath and keeps the floor warmer because it doesn't lay directly on the concrete floor. EverLast Wall Panels with built in insulation were installed as well to complete the look. The EverLast Wall Panels can not be damaged by moisture and will never get mold.
Quality 1st Basement Systems was able to provide this homeowner with the exact look they wanted for their basement by installing waterproof products that brighten and protect their basement.
A homeowner in Staten Island was experiencing water in the basement due to a poor window well. There was no drainage system, thus water seeped into the window. He called Quality 1st Basement Systems for solutions to his wet basement problems! The crew created a duct to help drain water away from the window, then installed the SunHouse Basement Window Enclosure. This is made of white plastic, with a tightly sealed clear cover to keep out rain and debris. The reflective bottom bounces sunlight through the window and brightens basements while ensuring no water leaks in!
