The kitchen of this 1900 built Oneonta, NY home is above a crawlspace. This part of the house didn't have great supports and was open air so the floors were cold. Mary purchased a beautiful century old, new to her home in Sauquoit.  In order to protect her investment, prevent water damage, and prevent mold growth that could lead to health problems she thought it best install a vapor barrier between the earth and the home.
